Walking into a new church takes a little courage. Here’s the honest picture of a Sunday at Immanuel, so you know exactly what you’re walking into.
We begin at 10:30 AM at 68-10 31st Ave in Woodside. The service includes singing, prayer, and a message from the Bible that speaks to everyday life, including work, family, decisions, and doubts. Come as you are; there’s no dress code and nothing you need to know in advance.
Woodside is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the world, and our congregation reflects it. You can take part at your own pace, whether you want to join in or simply observe. People connect in different ways, and you’re welcome to join the conversation or slip out quietly.
Questions are welcome here. When you’re ready to go deeper, our midweek Bible studies and prayer nights are open to everyone. No background in church is required.
Sundays we open Scripture and apply it to the life you're actually living, including work, family, decisions, and doubts. Press play on this Sunday's message, or join us in person this week. No background in church or the Bible is needed. Just bring your questions, and explore who Jesus is at your own pace. If a message raises something you'd like to talk through, our pastors are glad to listen.

Following Jesus is something done with others. It's where disciples are formed by knowing Him, growing in His Word, building real relationships, and learning to live out faith every day. Our Bible studies, prayer nights, and seasonal discipleship opportunities are listed when exact dates are confirmed. There's no perfect place to start; there's only a people to start with. Some of us have followed Jesus for decades; others are just beginning to ask honest questions. Both belong here, and both are still growing.
Young adult discipleship and community are part of this wider life. Young adults can grow through Scripture, prayer, meaningful relationships, service, and the wider life of the church. Young adults are invited to worship, grow, serve, and take meaningful next steps as disciples of Jesus.
Immanuel exists to reflect the truth and love of Jesus to our neighbors. Back to school backpacks and free winter coats when families need them. Food giveaways and seasonal gatherings when we can. Whatever the season, the same thing underneath: the touch of Jesus Christ for this community, in practical and meaningful ways. Disciples live out their faith by serving the people right next door.
“No matter what your background, our church feels like home.”
