IBC Guidelines for Re-opening

Currently, NYC is in Phase 4 Reopening which now allows up to 33% for indoor attendance of the building capacity. Again, this still keeps us within the regular attendance. We will be social distancing in the sanctuary. Ushers will be assigned to help you find a seat where you can be sure you’re safe during the entire service. Also, restrooms will be limited to one person at a time in order to reinforce social distancing measures in close quarters.

Upon entering we will ask you, your family or guest to make sure you are wearing a face covering to keep those serving you and worshiping with you safe. We will also have some masks available for those who will need one. You will be checked in where someone will take your temperature.

If it reads over 100.4°, you will not be allowed to enter into the sanctuary and we will ask you to self-quarantine, as required by the city. Also, if you’re not feeling well, or you’re showing symptoms of COVID-19, or you’ve been around someone who has COVID-19, we ask that you stay home and self-quarantine.

All others who don’t have any of these issues will be allowed to enter and be seated. Please remain in your seat during the service unless you have to go to the restroom. During service, we will continue to broadcast a Facebook Live stream for those unable to attend our in-person service. We will not have any Children’s Church, so the nursery and the adjacent bathroom will be off-limits. The bathrooms downstairs are available for use. Please make sure you wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds according to CDC recommendations. And there will be sanitizing stations around the church for your use, so please feel free to use them as needed.

And just as we plan on having an orderly entrance, so also we plan on dismissing people in an orderly fashion right after the service. There will be no fellowship downstairs after church. However, people may safely meet outside. Please remember no shaking hands, no kisses or hugs to keep everyone safe. And as much as is possible, let’s maintain the 6 foot distancing. And when not possible, make sure you’re wearing your mask.

I made a video that will go over some of the points mentioned in this notification.

Blessings in Christ!
